My parents took me to the Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey circus when I was about 6. That year, the circus had just bought out some Russian circus and hadn't edited down the show yet, meaning that it went on, with endless acrobats and jugglers and aerialists, in all three rings, simply FOREVER. We left some time after intermission because I was getting wayyy bored and it was still going on. I remember very little of the show, except my parents refusing to buy me an inflatable toy on a stick because it cost too much, and the blonde lion tamer Gunther Gebol-Williams with his cagefull of lions and tigers, and this blonde aerialist who threw herself around in a loop 70 times by her right arm and also twirled around by her teeth. I wish I could twirl around by my teeth. I bet it did wonders for her jawline.
