Did I ever tell you how lucky you are?

At least I have done better with ye olde career than some of my classmates. Even setting aside Dan and his dramatic plummet from the 103rd floor, there are people like Garrett, an engg around my age who worked for Mobil. Mobil merged with Exxon while Garrett was in B-school, and due to valid concerns about potential Subsequent Downsizing and Insecurity (he had a family to support, etc.) he decided to seek other employment. Last I heard, he took a position three years ago after graduation...with Enron. I sure would love to know how he's doing (not to mention that nice Ethiopian lady who went to Arthur Anderson) but there's no graceful way to inquire.

Sometimes I think I should have gone to film school, but those people would have annoyed me worse than the MBAs. I did find this cool place to get obscure DVDs though, so who needs the pedantic lectures anyway :P
