Happy Parade Day...

March forth!

In honor of Parade Day and bad puns everywhere, I am pleased to announce that this LiveJournal has once again gone public. While I reserve the right to lock and/or filter occasional posts, every effort will be made to keep 90-95% of the content unlocked.

As many of you know, I prefer to keep a public journal because I don't believe in the concept of "privacy" on the public Internet and have qualms about closed communities. Despite my preference, I was basically driven to lock this journal last year for my own sanity due to an unhappy, stressful chain of personal events. Happily, everything has now settled down and I am getting back to "business as usual" in my personal life and in this Livejournal. Although the locked journal experience was generally constructive for me, I hope I never have to resort to those measures again.

A sincere and heartfelt thanks to all my friends both on and off LJ who helped me during the past few months by listening, constructively commenting, joking, and in the case of a small subgroup of the whole, actually caring about me. I don't believe in ranking my friends, naming names or advertising how many people I feel friendly towards, so friends o' mine (you know who you are), please just know in your hearts that you are all wonderful, for different things and in different ways.

If you'd like to read more about my new journal policies, click here. In particular, please note that while anyone can lurk and read, if you'd like to be added or re-added to this journal, you still have to comment or e-mail me.

That's about it, except that anyone who doesn't like Les Pauls or Mr. Rogers is invited to go to hell, and don't let the door hit ya where the Lord split ya on the way out.

Have a great day!
