More 9:30 Wack...

1) Are the Black Crowes still REALLY that popular to book for THREE NIGHTS at 45 BUX A NIGHT in an indoor, non-seated venue? And I'm speaking as someone who really dug that skinny-skinny lead guy and "Hard to Handle".

2) Oh, and I see the Bad Brains are playing a reeyoonyun...starting at 5 PM. Yanno, as someone was just mentioning to me, when you get old you're supposed to need LESS sleep not MORE. If I get there and NPR is co-sponsoring I'm going to dry dive off the balcony.

3) Maybe I should just go see Umphrey's McGee. Hmmm, I wonder if I'd get more indie rawk flak for seeing them than I did for UnderOath.

Song of the Year.

Rather unexpected, all things considered, but for me, it's going to be "Home in the Highrise" by Cobra Verde off the new record, selected trax of which I just got around to hearing today on their Myspace page.

Kudos to John and his anxiety anthems. Of course, I'm just assuming it's a Bad Clarinet type song until the "official release".

Makes me feel good, given how much stuff I get exposed to, and all the Blood Creek water that's flowed under the Detroit-Superior bridge, knowing that those guys can still knock one out of my personal ballpark like that...

yep, there's a reason why I never bothered to change this blog name from "Roses Rejoice". A song I incidentally hated with a passion when it came out. I don't hate it now. I don't hate a lot of things now. Just Enough things.

Doo doo-doo doo-doo doo doooo....
